Bear's House Nursery

Day Nursery and Pre-School for Children

When Bear’s House approached us to design a new website for them, we couldn’t wait to get stuck in. Designing a nursery website is the perfect opportunity to create a fully responsive, fun, colourful and vibrant website, which is exactly what we did.

We've been working with the owners of Bear's House Nursery for a few years now, very much operating as their digital partners and providing the core services for all their online activity.

Bear’s House is made up of two nurseries, one in a beautiful Victorian house in St Leonards and the other is a large converted town house in Hastings, both with gorgeous secure gardens for hours of outdoor fun.

Founded in 2004, Bear’s House already have earned themselves a great reputation. We wanted their website to grow this reputation and attract new parents who are looking for a nursery.

With children’s health and wellbeing at the forefront of their minds, (the Food Standards Agency awarded them 5*!) we really wanted to portray this visually on their new website and help them getting this message across. We created new landing pages across the website including an “Our Food” page to highlight the great food they give the children and show they are in partnership with Children’s Food Trust.

The latest website was a real leap forward for Bear's House, future proofing their online presence whilst also empowering them to take control of their website by deploying the site on our in-house CMS. Full training has been provided to multiple personnel and ongoing support is available from 9am to 5pm, when required.

The focal point for this project was the design, with a lot of time invested in understanding the user journey and creating an appealing look that was endearing to parents of young children. We added simple elements for great user experience to help Bear’s House reach their goals. These included, “book a visit” online forms, click to call actions in the header of the site and a “request a call back” functionality.
