Wrapping up the Year 2025

As we reach the end of another year, we’re pleased to reflect on what has been a truly positive and productive 12 months for the team at BarkWeb. We’ve welcomed new clients into our portfolio, and our digital marketing department has continued to grow from strength to strength, expanding both in expertise in terms of AI and GEO, which are now included in the services we’re able to deliver.

Content Management System (CMS) Upgrade

A major milestone this year has been the significant investment we’ve made into upgrading our internal CMS. These enhancements give our clients even greater control, a broader range of functionality options, and an even faster, more responsive platform to support seamless customer interactions. As user expectations continue to rise, we recognise how vital it is to offer tools to our clients that are intuitive, powerful, and built for performance.

BW Events

Eastbourne itself has been flourishing, and it’s been a busy year for our team out in the community. From DigiFest to The Best of British Luncheon at The Grand Hotel, along with exhibitions, networking events, and supporting fellow local businesses, we’ve seen first-hand the energy and innovation coming from and into our region. It’s a great place to be building and delivering digital excellence and being a part of the digital community!

The Year Ahead

Looking ahead, 2026 promises to be an exciting year of change for our industry. We’re particularly interested in how AI will continue to reshape the digital landscape, from content creation and personalisation to predictive analytics and automated optimisation. These developments are opening up new opportunities for businesses to deliver smarter and more efficient digital experiences, and we’re committed to helping our clients embrace them in meaningful and practical ways.

Another area we’re paying close attention to is the growing influence of GEO and hyper localisation on how businesses are listed online and appear in search results. As search engines refine their algorithms around proximity, relevance, and local authority signals, the way businesses optimise their online presence continues to evolve. Ensuring our clients maintain strong visibility in an increasingly localised search environment will remain a key focus for us moving into the new year.
