New website. New CMS!

We are super-chuffed to be launching the new BarkWeb site today. As any good agency will tell you it is hard, but immensely enjoyable and satisfying doing a great job for a client, but fitting in a re-design and re-build of an in-house site (yet alone one on a brand new self-developed platform) is super challenging!

Here is an update on the path we have trodden to get here and why it means so much to us.

The new design

We have kept our new design pretty simple and have concentrated on firming up our four main channels of engagement with clients (Web Design, Web Development, SEO and PPC). We have tried to inject some more intersting images that the normal tedious same-old same-old twonk, and have even included some from our MD's portfolio.

The new CMS engine

The launch of our new site also marks another landmark in for our new super-cms system Jolojo and it's conversion to Svelte for the front-end.

This is our fourth (and a half) generation of CMS and builds on everything we have learned from many years of developing and evolving our solutions for both ourselves and our clients.

The new system is super-fast, super focused on Google and incorporates many solutions to real world challenges that a webmaster or web developer faces.

We are REALLY happy with all the effort from the Development team as well as the huge quantity of work that has been done on testing and finding as many edge cases as possible. Jolojo has now clocked over five man years of internal  development time, quite an investment. But we are using an amazing tech stack that will give us a real-world advantage over legacy languages. We think it is rather sexy (if such things can be classed as sexy!)

We will write more (a lot more) on the new platform over the coming weeks, months and years as we continue our quest to deliver ground breaking software to change your world. Get in touch if you want to touch the future.

The new stance

Just to be clear. We are so fed up with prospective clients coming to us and whinging about their current suppliers. We are so frustrated at witnessing new sites going live that purport to be ‘unique’ yet are running on a £20 template. We are SO BORED of the same old drivel that is written out there wasting everyone’s precious time on planet earth.

Get to the point.
Stop the drivel.
Say something interesting.
Have an attitude.
Take a stance.
Be helpful.
Do good.

We continue to strive to be and do all of these as we are: The guardians of your digital galaxy
